XXIII Workshop on the Developments in the Italian PhD Research on Food Science, Technology and Biotechnology
will be held in
Oristano, Sardinia, on 19th, 20th and 21st September 2018
The international calendar of scientific congresses in Food Science is rich of events aimed at generating knowledge, and instilling curiosity and interest on the research work produced by researchers all over the world. Among these events, the annual workshop on the Developments in the Italian PhD Research on Food Science, Technology and Biotechnology, organized by the Coordinating Group of Italian PhD, is a crucial appointment for the dissemination of issues related to the food sector within the National Scientific Community. This workshop, unique in its kind in the Italian scenario, has as a major strength the development of new research ideas through the transfer and sharing of knowledge and experiences among young researchers and experts in the field. Nine years after the last Workshop held in Sardinia, the Department of Agriculture of the University of Sassari and the Consorzio Uno are pleased to announce that the XXIII edition of the workshop will be hosted at the ancient Cloister of Carmine in Oristano, where the Bachelor’s Degree in Viticulture, Oenology and Food Technology and the upcoming Master’s Degree in Safety and Quality of Food Products, are based.
According to a well consolidated program, the three day workshop consists of oral and poster sessions, three plenary lectures, and a round table focused on the importance of Industrial PhD in the growth and innovation of the food sector. The workshop also comprises the “What for?” award, supported by Federalimentare (The Italian Food & Drink Industry Federation).
