HOW TO GET ORISTANO
The easiest way to reach Oristano is to fly to Cagliari Elmas Airport and then travel by train to Oristano.
From Cagliari Elmas Airport

The Cagliari Airport is 117 Km from Oristano. Inside the airport, 7 min. walk from the arrivals terminal, close to the main parking, there is the railway station. Verify on the Trenitalia website the trains timetable to Oristano. Oristano can be reached in about 1.00 hr.
Is also possible to get the daily coach service (by Fara Viaggi) from Cagliari Airport to Oristano. Buses leave from the Arrivals terminal. Tickets can be purchased on board.
You may also rent a car. At the airport all the main car rental agencies are present. From the airport follow direction Oristano or Sassari along SS131. Exit in Oristano South (Santa Giusta), then Oristano.
From Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport

The Olbia Costa Smerald Airport is connected to the railway station in city centre by the ASPO buses, that run regularly and have a travelling time of around 15 minutes. Check on the Trenitalia website the trains timetable to Oristano. Oristano can be reached in about 3.00hr.
There is also a coaches line runs by Turmo Travel that connect Olbia Airport to Cagliari via Oristano.

From Alghero Fertilia Airport

If you are planning to get Sardinia by ferry, consider that the fastest route between Italy and Sardinia is Piombino to Olbia with a crossing duration of around 5 hours. Other departure ports are: Livorno, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo.
